the appengine / apache combined logs are a bit limited with the information they provide.. do you run analysis separately with a greater set of dimensions & metric?
We extract as much structured data as we can from the appengine logs (which is a fair amount). But our application also output debug information on every request which is also stored in the appengine logs. We then extract that data as well and put it into bigquery. We use Mache, which we open sourced, to do this.
Brilliant! Sounds like this gives fantastic data and UI, but the design and UX is what I see will take this to the next level and make it even more useful.
I think you guys definitely get the idea of having everything in one place and making it really easy to manage. We've been working on our CRM (JobNimbus - http://www.jobnimbus.com/) and have been trying to add features that allow for uniformity and wholeness by having everything together in the same place.
I am currently testing Streak with my personal Google account, and I really like what I've seen so far. Will try to convince my co-workers to also give it a spin with our Google Apps for Business suite.
Do you have a roadmap for planned features? In particular, are you planning to provide a solution for better contact management within a team (using Google Apps)?
Can you elaborate how you integrate w/ the gmail UI? (If you indeed do)
ReplyDeleteWe are a chrome extension that injects our UI into gmail.
